Although pens don’t appear on our prohibited items list, they may be restricted for export to some destinations because they contain ink. Be sure to check local regulations before you make a booking. Some destinations, like the USA, require that you complete extra paperwork to import or export pens that contain ink.
If you are shipping a pen that does not contain ink, such as a fountain pen, there should be no issues in doing so.
Note: Some pen enthusiasts suggest shipping pens by placing them in a tube before packaging it. If you choose to do so, your package will likely be opened for extra inspection during the customs clearance process.
